That sounds consistent with a lot of other people's recent drives..."Max" is the only burn speed available. If you want control over burn speed, you can used Colin Hill's CDPBurn to burn your CD Architect projects. It also supports CD-TEXT and can leave the session open if you like, allowing you to create a multi-session "CD-EXTRA" style disc. Regards, Brent

I have a Plextor 24/10/40 and the only speed choices I get are up to about 8 and then "max".

Colin Hill's program (http://projecteva.net/) IMO is the way to go to inerface CD Architect to the newer CDRW's. It's a simple process.

I have a hunch that my Plextor is not operating at it's maximum speed (reading or writing) when used directly with CDA but I'm still in the process of testing it.
