Sound Forge Audio Studio 10 ... just did the upgrade to the latest version (free) ... noticed two extra downloadable files ... Vinyl Recording and Restoration and iZotope Vocal Eraser. I downloaded both and ran the files.

The both appear in the TOOLS menu on Sound Forge however when I try to run Vocal Eraser I get a message that "to permanently enable this plug-in you will need to authorize it."

I tried my Sound Forge serial number but it rejected it. I don't see Vocal Eraser in "my software" If I exit the authorization mode the plug-in runs anyway. Will it continue to run, or do I need a serial number (and where do I find it)?

You should have received separate serial numbers for each of Sound Forge, iZotope Nectar Elements, iZotope Mastering and Repair Suite, CD Architect and Blastwave FX Sound Effects.

I have the same situation as the OP. It does not pertain to the Izotope mastering bundle, but to the two tools named by the OP. They come as "bonus material" with the Sony Movie Studio 12 Platinum Suite. The package includes a serial number for the Eraser, but not the restoration app. It works for neither of them, even after applying the registration repair tool found as a download on the Sony site. There is no serial number for either of them in my (Sony) account, only for these three: DVD Architect Studio 5.0, Movie Studio Platinum 12.0, and Sound Forge Audio Studio 10.0

As the OP states, the restoration and eraser tools work without registration - at least I assume they do, since I haven't actually tried to process a track yet. But I don't want them to quit sometime in the future. Nor do I want to see a registration prompt every time I open one of them.

Doesn't anyone here have direct experience with this?

Thx, Ron

Same Issue with the vocal eraser. I have Sound Forge Pro 11.0 and I received serial numbers for both iZotope Nectar Elements and iZotope Mastering and Repair Suite but NOT the vocal eraser. What gives Sony?

I ordered the Vegas Pro 13.0 Suite in May 2014 and got every serial number but the iZotope Vocal Eraser.

Anyone else missing that S/N ??? Suggestions ???

The iZotope Vocal Eraser is bungled with Sound Forge Audio Studio 10... not SF Pro.
See the product comparison page.

Thanks. rraud.

I also have Sound Forge Audio Studio 10. I just logged into my iZotope account and looked up the SN. I hadn't needed it since 2011 when I installed it initially. On a re-install I had to dig it up again.

I'm having the same trouble, That is one of the main reasons I bought the suite, so I could do Vocal erase. I looked through all of my package and cannot find the authorization code anywhere. Has anyone found the answer to this?

"The suite" - which suite did you purchase ? Vocal Eraser comes with SFAS, Not SF-Pro.
