I use Sound Forge 4.5. I have temporary folder set to a HD with 710MB of free space. I got "temporary directory is full" message after recording only 20 sec or so 44Khz, mono sound. What's the problem here? TIA, cpliu |

I've seen this error before when i had temporary recovery files in the Sound Forge program directory. SF saves your current editing buffer as a .tmp file, most likely in C:\Program Files\Sonic Foundry\Sound Forge 4.5, but this path may be slightly different on your computer. Open up this directory and look for files like FRG45000.TMP, FRG45001.TMP, etc. Most likely you can simply delete these files as they are left over from times when SF crashed. It's also possible that SF has been prompting you to recover these files when you start up. You can do that when prompted if you want to find out what these files contain before you delete them. |
