I want to increase the volume of a highlighted section...but I want the edges (the first few seconds and last few seconds) to kind of ramp up to the new volume. Is there an easy way to do this?

That way when the section is hit, the increase in volume isn't as noticable.

In other words I want something a little better than just a streight amplitude increase.


There has to be something for this, right? I'm new.

Use Process, Fade, Graphic. You will be shown just the highlighted section.
Set the maximum gain to either 200% or 400%. You can then drag the
gain line up or down, click on the line to add more points if necessary,
and create the ramp up and down that way.
