Subject:Bloody Noises

Hello people.
I'm recording on the excellent Sound Forge 4.5.
But, even before I plug anything into the Line In,
there is loads of background noise.
When I Playback the file, It sounds like a high pitched whistle. The sound is not unlike the sound my computer makes. This makes me suspect that it could be interference from one of the components. I have a CD-R/RW drive, Athlon 1000 processor, SiS wave soundcard,
and a big noisy fan to keep it all cool.
Can anyone help?

I've the same problem with WinXP installed.
did u solve it?
