Click the mulitpurpose fader mode button on a chosen track in the track list and adjust as necessary. Default for the FX is "-Inf." You can also adjust the strength of the effect using envelopes on the track's events (in ACID Pro only). And right-click the multipurpose fader mode button with the FX setting active to choose "Pre Volume" (fader's source before main volume fader) or "Post Volume" (fader's source after main volume fader).
