Subject:WebRoot IDs "w.32.Malware.Gen" Infection on Disc

I just plunked considerable money down on the entire Audio Master Suite only to find out it's impossible to install SpectraLayers Pro 2 because of a "recognized threat" identified as "w.32.Malware.Gen" on the Sony supplied disc. The same threat is identified on a separate "trial copy" of the program that is in a file on the Sound Forge Installation Disc, so it's a fundamental problem. I tried to download the latest version of this plonker on the Sony Website, and that proved to be a constant exercise in futility because a complete file can't be found, so here we are. Nowhere. I'd be interested in hearing Sony's take on this but they seem to maintain their distance, I haven't figured out how to get through so I'm starting here for the benefit of public disclosure. I also contacted WebRoot and we're pursuing the possibility of this being a "False Positive". Let me know if you're having the same issues, and I'll keep you informed.

If this were an actual Sony issue with providing malware, this forum would be choked with complaints wouldn't you think?
The possibility of this being a "False Positive" is more likely.....
