hello there!
i love the sonicfoundry stuff very much, and i got me a powerful PC to work like hell - but the new PC doesn't like my MOTU 2408mkII. Or is it only the change from win95B to win98SE??
does anyone work with MOTU on a PC????

thanks for all hints,
maista

I have 2ea 2408s (not MkII) and a 1296 I LOVE them!
Im running Win98se for the 2408 and Win2k for the 1296. We do have a nother room with a 2408 and 24I on Win2k and room C with a 2408 on win98se. Not one problem. But I think you have to have Win98se as a min OS. I don't see any drivers or Software for 95B. Good Luck.

a big yell out!

you're running 24o8 on win98SE! that's exactly what i try since weeks! tell me if you see any obvious problems with my components: MSI K7master-board, AMD 1.5GHz, 512 DDR-RAM, ASUS graphic card...

I should have added that I have a PIII800 for Win98se and P4 1.7 for Win2k SP2.

You will be much better off reformating your hardrive and putting a new install of win 98 SE on your machine. I am using a MKII 2408 and 1224 together on windows 98SE and it works great. You need to tweak the performance of it a little but once you do it is pretty bullet proof. Have done several CDs on this setup using Vegas and Sound Forge.

George,

have you had any luck transfering in 24bit? I'm using a DA-7 mixer with the 2408 and trying to transfer audio in 24bit. 16bit transfers work fine, but when I try 24bit the audio sound slows down as though it's at a different sample rate.

Every experience this?

Thanks!
Don

No I come out of my Mackie D8B lightpipe into my 2408 Bank B, most of the time I stick with 16bit 44.1k

dpfresh,

I'd like to ask you the same question I asked George. Have you transfered via lightpipe @ 24bit? 16bit works great for me (WinME). But when I try to record via lightpipe in 24bit the audio sounds slow even though the sample rates and clocks are set properly.
