Subject:SF Pro 4.0 doesn't see my SCSI Adapter

I used to use SF Pro 4.0 on my windows 98 machine which has since died, and I never had a problem uploading samples to my ESI-2000 via SCSI (Adaptec AHA-2940uw), however now on my new Windows 7 machine, it doesn't see the adapter. the adapter is working fine, and I can send samples via SCSI CD-ROM using E-MU library CD's. but i'd like to send my custom samples to the sampler directly. I also own SF Audio Studio 9, however that does not have the sampler functionality, and pro 11 is too much money for me right now. Any Ideas? Message last edited on12/5/2013 3:42:03 PM bydulgee. |

You could try running Forge 4 in compatibility mode. I think there is a win98 type mode. No promises. Peter |

SF-4 is a dinosaur. (though I liked the UI graphics) Upgrade to 9, 10, or 11. All of which (since 5) have 'real time' preview, FX chaining. ect. ect. |

I use audio studio 9 for editing samples, which suits me fine. unfortunately, sampler config is a pro feature, which I cannot afford to upgrade to at the moment. I paid a lot of money for SF4 years ago, and it has rightly reached its end of life, but I cant justify hundreds of dollars for a new pro suite just because of one function. |
