Sound Forge Pro Mac 1.0 users: Please be aware that we have seen a compatibility issue with the recently released OS X Mavericks (10.9) operating system. This issue will cause VST effects to not appear within the application. Please know that we are working diligently to resolve this problem as quickly as possible. Sincerely, SCS Support Message last edited on10/22/2013 4:45:11 PM byForumAdmin. |

Okay, it's been more than a month now - living with bugs. I certainly hope Sony hasn't abandoned this software so soon after launch. Trying to be patient... |

12/5/13 It's here! Yay! Thank you. SF is responsive again. No freezes so far. Waveforms are not disappearing. You made my day! Cheers to the Sound Forge Mac team! :) |

Agreed. After months of frustration this update seems to have cured the issues I saw under both OS X 10.8 and 10.9, namely: 1. UI now draws correctly when I start SF Pro. 2. I can see all of my files / projects in UI. 3. Waveforms all seem to be drawn correctly. 4. Plugin chainer works. 5. Effects work. 6. Start / stop playback works. 7. Basic UI functionality works. 8. Open/close/open songs and project works. Haven't tested showing/hiding panels in the UI yet but I will. Very happy about this update and no longer regret having purchased this software. Now that it's working for me SF Pro for Mac looks like a really good piece of software but will need a lot more time to dig into it. Thanks Sony for sticking with this! |

Since upgrading to Sound Forge 1.0.26 I can no longer save mono 32 bit 192 khz WAV64 files. It limits me to the pull down options for WAV64 e.g. mono 32 bit float 96 khz WAV64. I can save mono 32 bit float 192 khz CAF but I prefer WAV64. This is the same under OS X 10.8 and 10.9. It says "The file contains unsupported compression." Stereo 32 bit 192 khz WAV64 seems to save ok. Message last edited on12/9/2013 12:54:18 PM byGeoffreyEdwards. |
