Reinstalled AP7, including the C++ 2005(?) Library , which seems to have fixed it. Maybe Windows Updates for the C++ library broke AP7. Maybe AP7 needs an update to work with the current library version ? geoff |

Geoff , surely the solution that I propose to you I 'll have already put in work, but I would like to share some of my same now, long experience with music software in a Windows environment . Programs like Acid , Sonar, Sound Forge etc. . , Are deeply rooted in the Windows operating system to function at its best , it does not matter if you're using XP, Vista , 7 or 8.1 , it is essential that all operating system updates and drivers are fully up to date and that we are running ( in the background ) only the essential services and utilities , leaving aside everything else, without excluding the fact that not all software such as plugins or vst dx are compatible with all hosts on the market , marketing is one thing , reality is another ... By turning on various forums on the internet, what I've noticed , in all these years, that the vast majority of the problems that users with Windows-based programs , are due to this type of approach ... Wrong: install everything and more, and hoping that everything runs smoothly ... There are plenty of guides on the net that you can find about it , for sure, I can give you a tip that has always helped me solve a lot of problems in this regard : less is more ... I do not know if this will be of help, perhaps they will be bugs in Acid (... no program is bug-free ...) but as far as I'm concerned, I have seen programs run much worse than this ... have a nice day;-) |
