cd's wont play

Cd's I burn using arch won't play in some newer players
that are in newer cars and newer home stereo systems.
The same disc's will play in all olders players.
Is there some setting I may be missing?

I don't think you're missing anything. Some players simply won't play CD-R/CD-RW discs because of the level of reflectivity of the disc (they're not as reflective as a manufactured CD). You may try different brands of blanks and see if any work any better for certain players.
