Rather than "big screen" it would be a lot more helpful to know what playback and projection equipment will be used. Will this be SD, HD, 4K, or something else? Your choices will be determined more by what the venue's equipment will accept than by our opinions. Have you gotten any specs from the venue yet?

no I don't have any info about the venue as there are a couple . I guess a film projector projected film but a digital projector projects many kinds of code. All I know is I was asked to deliver in HD but would the internet HD template be ok ? So I am to understand that there is no set export for cinema then. Forgive me, this is my first film showing on a large screen . thanks

Would be nice to at least know if they'll be playing it in a BluRay player or from a computer. Probably safest to render to a BluRay compatible format as that can be played in either. MPEG2 is probably a little more generic for this case than AVCHD.

Your entry rules will have complete details and specifications for required media.
Don't guess at it, otherwise yours may not get accepted.

I was thinking the bluray export would be the best.. I'll do an HD and a Bluray version if I can't get an amswer out of the organisers

No entry rules.. the organisers just asked me to provide a film in HD.. I'll try get a more defined answer from them

Please do. That's not fair to any of the entrants to be left hanging like that.
