This is a known issue for all of the 24 bit cards from Echo with SoundForge 5.0. They say that they are working on fixing it.

Read the driver release notes for the 6.0 WDM drivers at www.echoaudio.com

Hi There,

I had the same problem. Three weeks ago I installed Windows XP PRO and I can't record at 24 bit. Yesterday I went back to Windows 2000 and now I can record 24 Bit again.

I have a Echo Layla24 with the 6.00 WDM driver. With Windows XP PRO, problems recording 24 Bit, no problems with Windows 2000 with the same drivers.

Regards,
Diederick F.M. Cools.
