This might sound strange, but can I burn a CD with the latest version of SF without a CD burner? My plan is to use my notebook PC running SF to slice the single 60 minute continuous stereo wav into tracks, then burn it to an .iso file, copy the iso file to a PC at my work which has a burner on it, and burn it with Easy CD.... I haven't purchased SF yet and am comparing other products, but SF seems to be pretty good. |

I just did a cursory perusal of the menus and help screens in Sound Forge 5.0 and can't find any mention of .iso files or any obvious means of creating one. So i think the answer to your question is probably "no". However, if you were to use Sound Forge to edit and prepare all your audio tracks and then save them as separate .wav files, i'm sure the CD creating software on your computer at work has the ability to assemble these files into an Audio CD. For that matter, a common complaint i've been seeing a lot in these forums lately is that Sound Forge (and Vegas) have very poor CD creation utilities. The free version of Roxio Easy CD Creator that i got with my burner is much more powerful and capable and has tons of features that don't seem to appear in Sonic Foundry's software. For instance, SF software doesn't seem to support disc-at-once mode. |

Yeah the lack of disc at once is a right pain in the arse... SF is no good for my needs as the current project is a dance CD which needs indexes but no gaps. I guess I'll have to look at Wavelab. kk |

FYI, Vegas 3.0 supports DAO. |
