Subject:beginner - pitch of keyboard doesn't match midi

Hi, I'm such a beginner I'm not even sure if I'm using the right terms. I can add a new midi track and use my external keyboard to record, super cool. I notice though the pitch of the notes don't match. In other words if I play something on the keyboard, then play it back in acid, it's lower. So I used pitch bend on the midi track to get it to match (number next to it says 15,000). I was wondering if that's normal, or if there is a way to get the pitch in sync between the two? Any tips appreciated. Thanks. ------------- Ok I went off and did something else, came back and started a new project, recorded a new midi track, and they seem to match up just fine. User error of some kind I guess. -sm Message last edited on10/31/2013 2:38:50 AM byScott Miller. |

I figured this out. It was my running my audio out through a behringer usb interface. It was shifting all the sound on my computer up by about a note. So the keyboard sound through its speakers was right, it was every sounds coming out of my computer that was off. If I use the computer speakers everything matches. Going to look for new drivers now or ditch the thing. |

Could it be a mismatch in sample rates? Make sure your Acid project settings match your sound interface's sample rate ( 44,100 hz, or 48000 hz usually ) |
