I downloaded ACID demo, and I'm thinking of getting the full version of ACID Pro. I'm into songwriting, and my style is RnB/ HipHop and rock. If I were to buy loops from SF, I would have chosen Urban Pack and ACID Rock. Does anyone have any experience using these? Are they worth 250$? |

I use Acid Rock, although I stay away from the R&B, I must admit... I like Acid Rock, although I have to admit, I'm much more preferential to Metarock Visions. I suppose it depends on your needs though... As for being happy with Acid-- I'd certainly have to say YES! It allows me to create music, which is wild, because I can't play a note! |

Hi David I listened to the Metarock demos, and they sounded better than A Rock :) Thanks a bunch! One thing though; all demos sounds kinda hollow and crackling. How are the original loops? Tor Erik |

The WAV samples for the loop libraries have always sounded great to me. The sample songs are always heavily compressed for streaming over the Internet, hence their inferior sonic quality to the original project. Iacobus |

You guys bring up an important issue--it's tough to find good non-dance/non-electronica basic rock and blues beats for Acid. So the consensus is that Metarock is higher quality and more useful than the basic Acid Rock disc? |

I would definately say that I prefer Metarock Visions, but don't get me wrong-- I'm more than happy with the loops from Acid Rock. The loops are the same ones (I'm pretty sure, anyway...) that came with Acid Rock 2.0. But, if you're looking for my FAVORITE library (just for argument's sake-- I'm under the impression that you're looking for rock loops), far and away my favorite is the Total Spanish Guitar 2 disc set. Amazing quality & variety... I really believe that it's SF's crown jewel. It's not stuffed with any filler like some of the other discs (Metarock & Acid Rock both have drum loops & keyboards, for example), it's just a thousand or so spanish guitar loops. It's worth looking up, if that's what you're into. But I digress... |

Wow, I'll check it out! It sounds so dorky, I wouldn't have looked into it. Is it all acoustic guitar? |

I like them all I use the one shots and create my own Drum loops and track live keys and stuff into Acid Pro 3. Hip-Hop seems to sound better when things are not perfect. I also tune, pan and adjust the gain on the sample to get a really good triplet kick feel. I stack a lot of my snares and kicks to get a certain sound. Please feel free to e-mail me I could send you a zipped Acid 3 session. Maybe it will give you some ideas. George Ware |

Maruuk-- If you're asking about the Spanish Guitar, yes, it's all acoustic. Again, I'm not sure that whether or not it fits your needs, but if it does, it's well worth the money! Jeez, I'm starting to sound like a pitchman for SF libraries! |
