Subject:Acid Properties / Large # files / I know bpm

Hi all, I bought I drum loop disk of wav files, but it's not acidized. I need to manually change each one to loop and assign beats to give it acid properties. It's slow going.

Right now I open each file in sound forge audio studio, change it to a loop, and then tell it how many beats (which is kindof a pain vs. just putting in the already known bpm).

Is there a tool you guys use to acidize a bunch of wav files when you know the bpm? I'm essentially just changing them to loops, with known bpm, no base key.

thanks.

There was a discussion here not too far back about a tool that could ACIDize a large number of files. Can't remember the name of it offhand or if it's even still available. As always, though, your mileage may vary.

I think there might have been a basic ACIDizing script for Sound Forge too but I don't think Studio supports scripting; only Pro.

If it were me, I would just go through the samples loop by loop. That way, I know if there was a mistake, it's all on me instead of a tool.

Thanks Iacobus. I saw some posts from about 10yrs ago on google somewhere - might've referenced this forum w/ previous versions of Acid - but if there's nothing more current I'll try to track some of that stuff down. thanks for the reply
