Anyone want to take any guesses? Should we expect any new software from Sony at IBC. Yes not typically a sound/audio conference...
Just throwing it out there?

ACID is dead. Sony has abandoned it. The sooner you can get up and running on a new program the better. It is very frustrating, as I find ACID to be the easiest and most intuitive way to get up and running on a new project than anything else, but they have decided not to bring our beloved app up to date and they refuse to let the user base know whether we can continue to expect development.

Is Music Studio the route to go for future Acid users?

I have Acid Pro and the more I use it the more I like it (with exception of occasional crashing - esp w/ some VST), but I do like working with it now that I know some of the key features that I need.

I think after 5 years - they have let us know alright. In the worst way possible...by saying exactly nothing.

If a new version of AP ever arrived...not sure what it could bring to the table that would matter after such a long period of nothingness.

That said - the current version works fine for me in Win 7 x64. No issues or problems that I can see.

I haven't ever found myself needing anything more - it is what it is...must be how I use it - not as a full blown DAW but more of a sketching board...to build up a framework and then take that framework over to Studio One...
