Subject:Too Time consuming when editing

I have Sound Forge 4.5 and use it to edit my radio mixshows. The files are approx 25 minutes long (30,000kb). It is VERY time consuming to do simple edits...whether I'm deleting, copying, moving, a 2 second piece.

Is there any other way to avoid this time delay, and is Sound Forge 5.0 quicker ??

I doubt Sound Forge 5.0 is significantly quicker because it modifies your files every time you make an edit the same as 4.5 does. A "non-destructive" editor like Vegas Video or Audio may be a better answer. Vegas doesn't modify files on your disk--it modifies how it reads your files when you edit. This is very fast. A limited version of Vegas Audio is included with Sound Forge 5.0 - a very good reason to upgrade.
