Please Try This:

Normalize a 1:30min Audio Clip
Process > Normalize...
Select Preset "Normalize RMS -16dB (music)" and press "Process"
When its done, the clip is only 40sec long! The rest of the audio is missing.

Workaround:
Edit > Select all
Then Normalize your Audio. And all is fine.

Thanks for reporting this. I've gone ahead and added it to our bug database.

It looks like something's going wrong when we autoscan levels prior to normalizing. If you pre-scan the levels and choose "Use current scan levels", this bug doesn't appear - but you seem to have also already found a workaround.
