It's hard to beleive that I'm the only one who see this before. Beware: If you test this your system could freeze completly. That's mean no more mouse, no keyboard. Only the power switch... How to replicate the problem : 1.) Open your wave file. 2.) Pick a place in your song with your mouse. Any place on a stereo track. 3.)Press M on the keyboard to place a marker. Marker should be created where your mouse were. 4.)... Take care it's here that you could freeze... Click with your left button on the newly created marker. If you're like me, bang!, you freeze. Note; using the right button on the marker and rename, edit or move should work OK. It's the left click on the marker that create the system jam. Good luck! Tomtom |

Must be some sort of glitch on your system. I just tried it on SF 5.0e and had no trouble left-button clicking. That's how you move the markers after you place them, so it should certainly work. You might want to try reinstalling Sound Forge. |

I tried the evaluation version of Sound Forge (last v5.0e) on Windows XP and Windows 98SE and Win98 (3 partition). The only thing I could see is an harware dependant possible problem. Somekind of driver incompatibility. I have a ATI all-in-wonder pro and a sound blaster live wich are very common. That strange because the marker option is a very used option. It's strange that nobody complained about this before. At this time I didn't find any solution for this strange problem. That's why I'm here asking for a possible solution. tomtom |

You might try turning on "Compatible draw mode" and "Compatible scroll mode" in Options->Prefs->General, but I don't think that is the issue. |
