Audio "Scrabbled" in Vegas Pro 12 after update

Hey, so I updated my software on September 2nd (Vegas Pro 12 64 bit) and since then I've been having a problem with all audio I import. Every time I try to play audio it comes out "scrabbled" (I'm not sure how else to describe it) and very high pitched. It sounds like an alien signal or something. Anyway, I have no idea how to fix it. I'm running on Windows 7 64 bit laptop, 8GB RAM, Intel Core i7 processor. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I just uninstalled and reinstalled the program and it's still a problem. I've probably had a problem with this program every other time I've used it and I've never heard back anything when I filed a report.

Had the same problem. I unistalled, deleted everything I could find related to Vegas under [DRIVE]:\users\\<user>\appdata. Then I deleted the old Vegas 12 installation directory and reinstalled. Problem gone. You will have to manually restore any personal settings etc.

I guess you mean 'scrambled" .

What audio formats/specs are you importing that are affected ?

.mp3, MPEG, basically anything. Any audio that is included in the tracks even. I haven't found a single piece of audio that works. It's not my laptop, everywhere else the tracks play fine.
