What template did you use and what application if other than Vegas Video?

I used the burn Video cd option on a Mpeg-1 render. I tried burning it as a multimedia CD, and it worked fine (I had to double click the file in explorer, but it played fine).

I'm not hot to get something playing on DVD, but I'd like the option to offer people.

I am having the same problem with mine. It seems to skip half of the closing procedure, says it's done, but doesn't play anywhere. The files appear to be on the disk though. Any help would be appreciated.

Having the Disc Closing progress bar end half-way through is normal with some burners. This is not the cause of your problems.

What make/model of burner are you using? Can you burn Audio CD fine? What templates are you using during the render? Are you burning to CD-R's or CD-RW's? And finally what player are you using for playback?

Please note, that a lot of DVD players will not read CD-R's. You will have to check with your manual that came with the player to find out if it can handle them. (ie - if it's supposed to read VCD's, try burning on a CD-RW)

I'm using an HP 9100 8x4x24. I render to MainConcept mpeg-1.

CDRWs don't work either. I'm trying them on 2 different DVD players and a PS2

Hi, I am using
Drive ID Goldstar CD-RW CED-8080B
CD-R or CD-RW CD-RW
Maximum write speed CD-R 8
Maximum write speed CD-RW from ECDC 4.02"
Maximum read speed 32
Supports MultiRead? Yes

I can burn audio cd's as well as full disk copies. I have been able to burn VCD and play them in my home dvd player as well as my computers dvd drive in the past using another software (that I no longer have)
My driver version is:
5.1.2535.0 / 7/1/2001 Microsoft copr
Operating System - Windows XP

Thanks for your help
Rich

i searched Google about this problem and several people have said that Memorex Platinum CD-RW's seem to work more often.

what brand of CD-RW's are you using?
