Forge 11 is just like it always has been: a multi-channel editor. There are no multi- track workflows like Vegas or ACID. While you can edit channels individually, you cannot work with channels like a typical DAW can. Peter |

Are there any plans to extend SF to a multi-track editor? |

I wouldn't hold my breath on that. SCS seems pretty content that the purpose of Sound Forge Pro is to be strictly an editor. Not a DAW. And SCS has not updated Acid Pro Since February 2010. One can only wonder if they have given up on the realm of DAW software... |

Sound Forge is a Multi-CHANNEL editor, not a Multi-TRACK DAW. I'm sure there are no plans to somehow fudge SF into a DAW, and nor should there be. Use Acid or Vegas, or something else designed for multi-track work. geoff |

Vegas makes an excellent DAW, apart from the MIDI side of things .... I've long asked for (at least) an integrated MIDI player, but Vegas evolved more in the Video direction instead. geoff |

Considering that Vegas has been recently updated, it appears that Sony Creative Software is still very active in the DAW software business. |
