Subject:Sound Forge and Windows XP

I have purchased a new computer with Windows XP and am having problems with SoundForge 4.5. The recording volume will not respond to allow the record meter to move in the -6 range. I am in the -30 range which does not provide a good wave form display of the recording or any sound on playback of the recording. It works fine on Windows 98. Please advise. I have asked tech support for an answer, but no response yet. Thanks

Hello,

I don't think 4.5 is supported under Win XP try right clicking the shortcut for SF 4.5 and select Compatibility and check the box for Run this program in compatibility mode for Win 98, See if that works.
