I use Sound Forge XP 4.5. I have recently changed to Windows 2000nt after previously using Windows 98 successfully. I now have a high pitched squeal on playback after recording. This does not occur under normal use of speakers or headset, only after recording playback. The sound card is "SoundMax Digital Audio". Any suggestions on how to fix this problem?

Upgrade all your hardware drivers to windows 2000 supported drivers, especially the sound card and video card.

And cheers to you too, Red.
My only other comment: Actually, I didn't find this question to be bad at all; just tempting. WAAAY too tempting. As a matter of fact, after responding, I found my copy of 'Dueling Banjos' and added it to a compilation CD from hell I'm making for my ex-girlfriend.

lol.

Happy New Year!

I have a suggestion for another cut for you "CD from Hell". I'm telling my age with this one.
"In a Gada Da Vida" by Iron Butterfly or anything disco.

I wouldn't waste the time or the 25 cents for the CD on an ex-girlfriend. I would recommend what I did last year. Take a trip to Brazil. The women are beautiful and very easy to get along with and are not high maintenance like American women and they actually have family values. I'm now a happily married man to a beautiful Brazilian woman.

So my song to add to that CD would be.....
AMERICAN WOMAN!!!! STAY AWAY FROM MEEE..EEE!!

Don't be brushing up on your Spanish, Brazils official language is Portuguese. Very similar though. Actually I'm flying to Brazil Jan. 3rd to meet the In-laws, so if you guys don't see me posting in this forum for awhile, can someone please call the U.S. embassy in Brazil and tell them to look for a white American male, probably strung up by his cahoonies somewhere in Sao Paulo. :-)
