Two Q's really - I watched the webinar for these advanced products and Hey! aren't they good?
Wanting to play it again I pressed Download (to view off line) and there it is, playing (in Quicktime)...but now I come back to watch from the start I can't find it . . where does Sony put the downloaded Webinar? - it never asked....and not under Downloads/Documents//Music either...

Q2 in SF Audio Studio ( v10)
I can import and save a stereo-pair, but other engineers use Audacity and that appears to offer multiple track ie all in the one frame, ( I know you can open multiple frames, but they're treated as independent data.).

Foolishly I started the Show me How on the Basics and was thoroughly confused - what's with "Regions" and why does it insist I open a Video?

My Audio files are usually from a portable recorder using SDHC cards. However, I've been known to open a small audio clip from Movie Studio' so I can maybe "add something" -or- maybe an SFX effect. In this case it would be useful to have the audio tracks (for the video) - and the audio recorder tracks so they can be played (and saved) together. This would be 4-tracks in all.

However, I expecting this would be a combination Stereo recording, so any later work is not possible without going to the original tracks . . . or can I save a multiple track project?

What's odd is that you could do this multi-tracking in Movie Studio - and I use "Volume" regularly. When saved as a .vf file, it keeps all the tracks as they were and I can go back as often as needed - BUT I do like to work in SF - somehow it is "tidier" and it came with Movie Studio, as part of the Suite version. Maybe it's because I don't include the Video, I find it better able to concentrate on the Audio, using SF.

It all depends on what's specified in your browser's preferences as far as downloads go.

If I'm understanding you correctly, Sound Forge is not a multitrack editor per se; it can just work with multiple-track files like surround sound files. If you're looking for true editing in the multitrack realm, stick with Movie Studio or ACID if you have any version of that app.
