Been an Acid user for more than 10 years, and this was not a problem in AP3 or AP6 but now in AP7e... tracks seems to record fine, then on playback I hear all kinds of weird snippets from other tracks inserted here and there, or there will be no sound for a few seconds even though I can see the wave recorded on the track. New HP desktop computer, Windows 7, Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium HD (using ASIO with no latency). Message last edited on6/6/2013 12:26:13 PM byhikinfool. |

Did you try soloing a track to see if the problem persists? How many tracks are there? If these are Beatmapped tracks, they'll stream from your drive. This can be problematic if you have a lot of tracks playing at once and a slower system; gapping/snipping is not uncommon. |

Yeah, it's like what I hear when I am playing the piano part is being overwritten with little pieces of other tracks randomly, and it is there when I solo the track. I haven't studied all of the changes in AP7, so maybe I am missing something. I manually perform all of the parts from my keyboard - no MIDI, no Beatmapped, no loops - and the previous tracks DO stream from the USB3 HDD but seemingly without problems. UPDATE - I played the same tracks on my laptop also running AP7, and the same problem is there, so it's not just something I'm hearing - it's defintely being recorded that way. In Audio Preferences, the "Acid type for recorded audio" is defaulted to Beatmapped - maybe I should change that to one-shot - ? Message last edited on6/6/2013 1:45:40 PM byhikinfool. |
