Hi guys,
1) Sound Forge 4.5 installed on drive D - free space 40 GB
2) WAV files are in drive D - free space 40 GB
3) Free space on drive C: - 2 GB
4) TOTAL RAM: 1 GB
5) Virtual Memory (paging size set up for drive d: 4534 MB). No virtual memory set up for drive c:
5) No other applications running.

I have 4 wav files open, each of whose size is around 800 MB. The end result is to have a single file. Hence I copy file no. 2, close that file, then append (paste) into file 1. Now I copy file no.2, close this file and paste into file no.1. Now, I copy file no. 3, close this file. So far so good. Now, halfway when the append (paste) is happening to file no.1, I get the error message which says "There is not enough free space in the Temporary Storage folder". I cant figure out what the heck is the problem?? (Where is this setting??)

PLEASE PROVIDE SUGGESTIONS. THANKS TO ALL.

Right click your Sound Forge desk top (any blank area), choose 'Preferences/Perform', then browse your temporary folder and set it to a folder on the hard drive that you are working on (eg: Dtemp folder). If you currently are working on files located on your D-drive while the temporary folder is on your C-drive (the default location) then this is slowing your work and filling your C-drive. Every time you 'save' your work, the temporary files have to be copied to your work drive from the temporary folder. With the temporary files located on the same drive as your work files, they are simply re-addressed and don't have to be copied from one drive to another.
