Subject:Recording in Acid Pro 3.0

I'm using an Echo Mia soundcard and a Audiobuddy Pre-Amp to record into Acid Pro 3.0, which works good, except for the fact that when I play back what I record it only plays back on one speaker. I realize there is two channels, but I only have one microphone, so is that the problem or should it be able to record with only one mic into two channels? I've already checked the settings on the souncard and looked through the owners manual, but nothing seemed to help me. So any help anyone could give me would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

What drivers are you using with your Echo Mia? What record option are you using in the record dialog box?

With my Delta 66 audio card(WDM .26), ACID 3.0e gives me a multitude of recording choices(options) in the record dialog box:

M Audio Delta 66 Multichannel
M Audio Delta 66 Multichannel (Mono,Left Channel)
M Audio Delta 66 Multichannel (Mono,Right Channel)
M Audio Delta 66 1/2
M Audio Delta 66 1/2 (Mono,Left Channel)
M Audio Delta 66 1/2 (Mono,Right Channel)
M Audio Delta 66 3/4
M Audio Delta 66 3/4 (Mono,Left Channel)
M Audio Delta 66 3/4 (Mono,Right Channel)
M Audio Delta 66 S/PDIF
M Audio Delta 66 S/PDIF (Mono,Left Channel)
M Audio Delta 66 S/PDIF (Mono,Right Channel)
M Audio Delta 66 Mon.Mixer
M Audio Delta 66 Mon.Mixer (Mono,Left Channel)
M Audio Delta 66 Mon.Mixer (Mono,Right Channel)

For mono sources like guitar and voice, I will choose either a (Mono, Left or Mono, Right Channel). As I record, it will output to a respective L or R channel, but on playback it will display a mono waveform and play thru both L/R speakers as a mono audio file. At least, that is how it should work in ACID 3.0. Make sure you have selected "Windows Classic Wave Driver" from the Audio tab, in Prefrences, and your audio card is selected as "Default Audio Playback Device". Other than setting the "Project Properties" Audio tab to a 44/24 default setting, everything else audio setup wise, in ACID, is at its program default settings.

Hello,

You could also try a Mono to stereo connector, Which would take a mono signal and split it before it goes into the sound card.

See ya, Rockit

Okay, I finally figured out how to get my Echo Mia soundcard to record Mono. The only problem now is getting it to record Mono in Acid Pro 3.0. It works fine in Acid Pro 2.0 and the SF that comes with Acid Pro 3.0 because the option to record Mono is available in those programs. However, that option is not available in Acid Pro 3.0 (if it is I cannot find it). So if someone can help me with this problem it would be greatly appreciated. Also, thanks for all the help you guys have provided me with thus far.
