Posted by: Lanco Date:12/23/2001 2:26:51 AM i just got started on a couple of forums, and am enjoying it alot. can anybody recommend any other forums that might be worth checking into? this might help your answers: i am primarily interested in recording records and tapes on cd. this includes eight-track tapes and 78 rpm records. i also play keyboards, trumpet & sax. i am also interested in keeping up on applicable software and hardware. i am recording from my stereo. definately interested in reviews and good sites to purchase stuff. thanx in advance p.s. computer music magazine has a pretty good site. it certainly is my favorite magazine also so far. http://www.computermusic.co.uk/main.asp

It has a Sound Forge group, along with just about every other major editing software company as well. There are also groups for hardware, studio gear, instruments, and production tips/techniques. http://www.audioforums.com/ One of the liveliest sites I've found is the main Syntrillium site (they make Cool Edit Pro and Cool Edit 2000): http://forums.syntrillium.com/default.asp I'd say the Syntrillium site posts about 100-1 vs. here. A nice site to find out about plug-ins is: http://www.thedirectxfiles.com/ I think it's sponsored by Cakewalk, but they have all kinds of stuff there, some freeware as well. sk
