Subject:SF and Digi 001

Hello All,

I've been using the 001 for almost a year along with SF 4.5. During this time I was able to monitor my work in SF through the 001. I just upgraded SF to 5 and now I can't get any sound out of SF. The Digi still works fine. Any ideas?

Thanks,
Steve

There's 2 things you need to check. In Windows goto Control Panel>Multimedia. Check to see what the default record and playback device is. It should probably be the Digi 001 drivers, if not change them.

In Sound Forge Goto Options>Preferences>Wave. You have 2 options to try and maybe one will work. If you select "Microsoft Sound Mapper" for Playback and Record devices, then Sound Forge uses the the Sound Mapper to use what you previously selected in the Multimedia section for INPUT/Output. Or the better solution is to use the Digi001 drivers directly by selecting them in Playback and Record. Try both options if one don't work, then try the other. Like I said though, it's usually better to use the devices drivers directly than going through the sound mapper, but if you're able to hear audio in normal windows operations, then you should be able to hear audio with sound forge if you select "Sound Mapper"

Good Luck,
Brian Franz

I tried all of the options and still the same result. Any other ideas?

I just reinstalled the Digi Wave Drivers and it's now working. Thanks for your help.
