how do I slow down a playback with no pitch change, my kid wants to learn a tune for piano I thought this would be possible?

Whilst holding down Ctrl, click on the end/right boundary of the audio and drag it to the right. You should also see a % readout near the right boundary telling you the amount of speed change.

Another option:
Many music teachers use the Denon CD player with variable speed control.
It holds the notes very well compared to software time stretch.
