Ugh!!!!! Render canceled!

I used RealVNC while i was out running around to check on the render status on my home workstation. When i closed the connection Vegas mistakenly interpreted that as clicking the "cancel" button and the render stopped, with only 18 minutes to go on a 14 hour render. AIIIIGGGGHHH!!!

We *NEED* a yes/no confirmation on the cancel render!!!

Maybe you should contact the RealVNC people and ask why it passed a button press to a program when you terminated the connection. Sounds like something they would want fixed (imagine if did "shutdown" or disconnected from the internet because of this).

It's quite possibly an Android problem, in that touching the screen to bring up the menu button sent the command mistakenly. Still though, for something so time consuming and potentially time wasting as a canceled render, Vegas should NOT accept a single click.

Sorry to hear that Kelly.

That must have been really frustrating. My heart goes out to you.

I've never had an issue with Vegas accepting a single click, but I, many many times, PURPOSELY make Vegas the non-active window. IE I click the start bar, put a browser in front, an explore window, etc.

I'm not one for extra clicks, but an option to "confirm render cancel" in the options I'm not against.

Hasn't this been feature requested since version 0? :)

I think version -1, at least.

Gentlemen: please consider what you are wishing.
SCS might hear you and implement it - and the Lord knows what inconveniences and worse this little change might cause in several versions to come...

Btw. it seems that already The Beatles had some experience in software development - and even made a song about it: "Speaking words of wisdom - let it be, let it be..."

i don't mind scs implementing such 'minor' conveniences AS LONG AS THEY DON'T BREAK ANYTHING ELSE IN THE PROCCESS ;-)

Yes a confirmation prompt alert for cancel would be handy.

Hehehe. My 21h render failed at 90% just cause I forgot to clean the unused jpeg images from the project media... AND it took me two attempts to realise this. :) How about a warning for THAT!
