My objective is to be able to hear the AmpliTube3 effects at the same time I record and to be able to adjust and hear AmpliTube3 before recording in Sony Acid Pro7. I’m hoping the following is just an issue with the AmpliTube3 Demo or operator error. While I wait for AmpliTube3 to arrive I’m trying to experiment with Sony Acid Pro7 using the AmpliTube3 Demo. I have the AmpliTube VST installed in Acid Pro7 and can open it but the VST icon has a locked symbol by it. I do have the AmplitTube3 Custom Shop running. I’ve also tried with the Custom Shop not running. So far I’ve tried selecting the Acid Pro 7 Input Monitor Option to ON with the red recorder in the armed position. My results; I can only hear the AmpliTube effects after playback. I can adjust the AmpliTube VST but only during playback. Thanks in advance. |

Did you set up the input bus correctly per the instructions on p. 198 of the ACID Pro 7 user manual? |

Thanks, the page number definitely helps. I was using Acid studio 8 and I just started with Acid Pro 7. I’ll take a good look at this in the manual and report back. |

I made some progress. From the View Tab I selected Show Bus Tracks and then I selected the Track FX button on the Bus Track and selected AmpliTube. I also selected Input Monitor Mode On in audio track 1 which is the only track I’m using. I also have the Arm For Record button selected on track 1. This allowed me to hear and adjust the AmpliTube3 VST. However, I’m hearing static coming from AmpliTube3. It goes away when I mute the amp so I will need to work that out. I will install the full version of AmpliTube3 now and see if that eliminates the static issue. It just arrived. I may not have the settings right yet although it’s kind of working so please throw out more page numbers, video tutorial links and etc. or anything else you may want to offer. BTW; I’m using a Focusrite i2i USB interface. When running AmpliTube as a stand alone there is zero static. Thanks! |

Try a lower bit-depth/sample rate if they are maxed. From what I could glean, the i2i can do 24-bit/96 kHz.and has a USB 2.0 port, but unless you have USB 2.0 ports on your system, it will default to USB 1.1 (which is much slower). |

Still have the issue but here is an update. Thank You for the help. The i2i is connected to a 2.0 USB port. At present it is set to 2 channel 16 bit 44100HZ. I tried to change it to a higher HZ number but I get a message that the device is being used by another program then I click change it anyway and then I receive another message format not supported by this device. I get the same message if I try a lower HZ. No DAW or AmpliTube programs are running. Also. the i2i is not showing any 24 bit options only 16 bit. My Yeti USB Microphone connected to a USB port right beside it does show 24 bit options. Message last edited on4/26/2013 8:09:07 PM byBJenkins. |
