- RTFM - "Process> Volume" adjust how much.. + or - .. in the pop-up window. (select the range on the timeline for less than the entire file) - Depending on your version of SF, the Volume Envelope plugin is another option."View> Volume Envelope" (shortcut= 'V' key) Addendum: It is impossible to exceed 0dBFS .. the waveform will be 'clipped' and cause distortion. Sorry i should have clearified. How do i do it so it spans the whole file. as an example, i have a 20 minute long file and all voices are fine except mine which is too loud. So i want to set it so all volumes exceeding my volume are reduced but the remainder of the file is untouched. |

You are talking about audio normalizing, not overall volume. Use Process-> Normalize, and choose one of the RMS presets as a starting point. Or, you can put a volume envelope on the timeline and ride gains yourself. Or, you can try the free Levelator. Experiment. Message last edited on4/22/2013 7:37:24 AM bymusicvid10. |
