Subject:Suggestion for New Audio Card

A friend just built a new PC for me with Windows 7 Pro 64-bit. The motherboard has an audio card built in. I believe it is by Realtek. My previous PC had a SB Audigy 2 Value card. It served my needs. What I really liked that the new one does not have is a program that allowed me to control everything: source, base, trable, individual volumes, etc. I think I found a driver for it, but I am not sure. I also don't know about the application, or even if it is installed with the driver. Creative no longer supports it, even by email. I would like to know if anyone has a suggestion for a new audio card. I really want the software that has controls similar to my old card. |

My choice for a relatively low-cost two channel 'pro' card would be the Echo Mia. Echo cards are known for good sound and stable drivers. Don't know if they are 64bit compatible, or PCI-express. Message last edited on4/21/2013 9:20:08 AM byrraud. |

Thank you ffaud. This is from the Echo Miamidi Internet site: Requires a PCI slot.* (We do not support PCI-e at this time.) *All PCI products are compatible with 5V PCI, 3.3V PCI and PCI-X There is no PCI-e support. Does anyone have another brand to suggest? I can go higher in price/features if required. |
