Have you tried turning down your video acceleration? Video acceleration hogs system bandwidth that could be used for other tasks, like (*cough cough*) digital audio. :) Iacobus |

Other things to try: -Try uninstalling and reinstalling both ACID DJ and Wavelab. (Is there an error dialog that displays, BTW?) -Update any drivers you may need for the devices in your system, such as your video card and soundcard. (I know that's beating a dead horse but there are people who are unaware of constant driver updates to the devices in their systems.) -Might want to check out this article on optimizing a W2K system as a DAW. -Did you try the latest build of ACID? I would maybe consider updating your video card drivers. If you are able to isolate the stuttering to when you are adjusting the display that is a pretty good indication that there is something going on there. |
