VMS 12 plat, 64bit and Newblue bitrate

Nel. wrote on 3/12/2013, 7:31 PM
How do I do this?

Per Newblue expert....."If you install the installer I sent you, confirm you installed the same bitrate as your SMS12 installation, they will appear. But you must install the matching bitrate for the version of SMS12 you have installed."

I can see all the Newblue files in program files.... but can't bring them into VMS Transitions and VideoFX tabs.

No idea where to start to get my Newblue showing in VMS12..... How do I "confirm"

"bitrate"? Are you sure that's the word? It doesn't make any sense in that context.

I copied what NewBlue support wrote me....
If you install the installer I sent you (http://www.newbluefx.com/downloads/Sony/NewBlueSonyVegasMSPPS12Setup14-121121.exe) confirm you installed the same bitrate as your VMA12 installation, they will appear. But you must install the matching bitrate for the version of SMA12 you have installed.....?????
We do go from there?

Nel´,
See if there's a 32-bit and 64-bit installer for you. You have a 64-bit version of MSP 12.

Read carefully (esp. the latter parts of) the thread

It might be possible you need to follow the advice given in jetdv's post.
Did you install MSP12 from the disc?

Like a user said... I am not prepared to uninstall VMS12... it works fine... only Newblues makes me frustrated.... SO..... do I give up again....?

Nel',
there are reports on this forum that the installer of the initial disc version has not worked quite like it should. An uninstall and reinstall of the latest downloadable version seem to have helped several users.

I should have said ... I first installed it with the disc.... uninstalled it and reinstalled it via, download, updates, VMS Studio platinum suite (as it in indicated on the disc) 64bit version , build 756..... It did not improve.... and I gave up....
I am trying again to fix the problem.... I can see the files in programs (x86), but can't bring them up in the application....same running around....
By using the link that Newblue gave me, I lost the magic bullet I had managed to installed back in Nov..... that showed in 3rd party.... arrhhh .
I don't want to messed VMS12... it works great.... for me.... I am working on a project, and I might do more bad than good.....
So?

It's this simple: if you have the 32-bit version of SMS12 installed, you install the 32-bit version of the bundled MSPPS.

If you have the 64-bit version of SMS12 installed, you install the 64-bit version of the bundled MSPPS.

I know you have the 64-bit version installed so the 64-bit option must be chosen during the installation of the MSPPS package.
