I am ready to load Acid Pro 7 into a Windows 7 computer... I was going to use my Echo Gina (from a old computer set-up) to get my mixer board into this Windows 7 computer, but the soundcard will not fit. Do I have to buy a whole new interface that is Windows 7 compatible? If so, suggestions? Or is it the computer model? The goal is to get my mixer into this new system... any help is appreciated... thanks! |

I am assuming it did not have a PCI card slot... Old school PCI. It is becoming hard to find computers making first generation PCI slots. My current tower fortunately had the old school PCI slots and the new PCI (I think express slots) (small slots in the tower) I am heading to an external USB focusrite box. 18i20. But if you are just looking for a cheap USB box - (if you can't get your old PCI card up and running) Look at a focusrite saffire 2i2 or 2i4. I have one that I use back and forth between PC and a Mac system setup and it works wonderfully. All the best. |
