Subject:VST Instruments Causing Static

I have a number of VSTI plugins that emit a recurring half-second of noise every 6.5 seconds. ACID doesn't have to be playing--as soon as I drop in the VSTI, it starts making that noise.

Anyone else have this problem?

Which VSTis?

Some plug in vendors output noise on demo versions of their plugins. We emit a beep periodically when our plugins are not registered.
