I use SF Pro10 as a playback source in our theater and am having problems saving files as .w64 whenever I add other files to the end of an existing file (as in combining files into a compilation). I'm a long time SF user and have never had this problem before. Is this a known problem? I have had it happen on two computers now. |

Do you need .w64? A stereo 16 bit 44.1KHz .wav file can be up to about 3 hours 48 minutes. What problems are you having, specifically? Just saying "having problems" doesn't give us much to go on. |

Sorry, I guess I wasn't very clear...I can put two files together and save them as one file with markers to label each "song", but when I add a third file to the master file and go to save it, i get an error message that says, "An error ocurred while ssaving one or more files. An error ocurred reading the file. Make sure you have read access to the file/folder and that it is not corrupted." I then click the OK at the bottom of the error message and Sound Forge sits there hung up in saving mode. when i try to close the file, it askes me if i want to save the file...if I say yes, i get the same error message, and if i say no the file closes. I can then go to where i was trying to save the file and it exists with the multiple files, but without the markers. If I try to add the markers back in, i get the error message again. I had been able to do this with past versions of SF. |

Does it work if you save as .wav? |

It does appear to work when saving to a .wav...i will do more tests tonight when i am in the theater. I am trying to remember at what point i started using the .w64 or why i switched...may have been when i had the system freeze up during a show. Thanks for responding, but still not sure what's going on with the .w64 saves...in the meantime, .wav works for now. |
