Hi, I'm trying to do a voice over onto a video, and am having trouble keeping my voice volume consistent over the length of a sentence. I start off big and peter out. I've tried breathing differently, doing it in my native dialect, and different accents I can do, but if I do it in my best English I peter out. Now my question is two fold, 1. Does anyone know of a good link to a tips web site that'll help me improve, without employing a speech therapist 2. What are some of the techniques I could use to correct it in Sound Forge? e.g. audio envelopes Any ideas would be most welcome and apologies if the forum feels for the most part my question isn't strictly sound forge related Kind regards Colin |

Waves Vocal Rider plugin. Like an automatic volume envelope. Fewer artefacts than doing it with compression.... geoff Message last edited on2/26/2013 5:33:51 PM byGeoff_Wood. |

I recall a [free] stand-alone app. 'The Levelator' to be useful. Though I prefer more control parameters, this would be good for the inexperienced. Also free, the Jeroen Breebaart 'Broadcast Processor' VST plug-in. Not as simple to operate as a one knob plug, but it works well. It could get a newbie into trouble and do more harm than good. |
