I'm using vegas 8 sound problem

Hollywuud wrote on 2/24/2013, 6:10 AM
suddenly out of no where I get no sound after render on either Real Player or YouTube.

Yesterday I merely plugged a new Allen Heath Mixer into my computer to see if it would recognize it. It did, but nothing popped up, no install happened that I know of.

I have no idea what happened. Sound plays great on Vegas.

Thanks for any help,.

Try dropping the rendered file on Vegas timeline, is the audio there?

What format do you render to? Did you check your render settings that the audio is included?

I got it to work. It had to do with the Mixer I plugged into the computer. It apparently highjacked the sound?

Can Vegas 8 Stream live video?

I tried dropping the file on vegas timeline. No sound.

render to main concept avc/aac .mp4 560 x 315 29.7 fps ntsc non progressive

project properties were set to match content 720x480 29.7 fps ntsc 5.1 surround.

best best on everything.

Thanks for your input.

But I did solve another problem I was having with sound and rendering the Captured Audio track. The captured audio is a wav file and I had to convert it to mp3 and re insert it in the timeline. It worked fine but it doesn't make sense that I cannot render straight from the timeline record capture wav file?

What am I doing wrong?

WAV works fine on the Vegas timeline, all versions.
It's the native format. I have no idea what you're doing, and you have not provided any details.
