Maybe this is a question for Peter

Seeing as it looks like the PC development of programs other than Vegas has been almost non-existent in the last several years (with the exception of entry level products)
What will SCS's policy be towards its PC user base.
Apparently Windows is getting ready to do yearly updates on its OS and coming soon is this:

Windows Blue.

Acid Pro and Sound Forge Pro - PC platform have not seen updates since they were created in the late Vista/Early Windows 7 era.

Mac Updates every year but now it looks as if Windows will be updating every year.

Any thoughts out here? Sound off! Curious to see how people feel about these changes that are coming.

Well - considering most folks out there haven't even considered a move to Windows 8 yet - and may not for a long long time (or never like me)...what good is it to ask Sony what their plans are?

I look at it this way - SMS won't even tell us anything about ACID let alone what their Windows roadmap might be a year from now...

And with Win 8/Win RT/Surface still taking a continual beating in the real world - unless Blue actually makes Win 8 useful again - can;t see too many people caring about that either....

For anyone interested...
As no one knows how SCS will handle a PC yearly update schedule as MUM is the word.
Here's the latest from PCWorld.com

I couldn't care in the slightest what Microsoft is planning to do, if only they'd stop breaking old legacy software. The more they break legacy support, the more likely i am to dump Windows entirely. Pretty much the only reason i use Windows at all is for all the old software i've accumulated over the years. If that won't run, Windows becomes irrelevant.
