...only seen after installing SoundForge.

I noticed that no matter if I chose WinAMP as the player for .flac files, SoundForge would still open when I clicked a file in Windows Explorer.

How to fix:
1: Start Regedit
2: Delete HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.flac
3: Delete HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\FileExts\.flac
4: Find any flac file in Windows Explorer, doubleclick it and point it to your favorite flac player.

That fixed it at my end (Win7 x64 + WinAMP 2.95). If you're unsure of what to do, remember to create a system restore point BEFORE changing anything in the registry.

And you're using Winamp 2.x... Why? Well before Windows 7.

WinAMP 2.95 takes just about zero resources, it's able to just sit in the tray when running, doesn't contain a ton of adware, it's free and it's playlists are created in a universal format which suits any MP3 player, it supports ID3 tags version 1 + 2. And the entire WinAMP folder takes up...3.2MB. Anything more than that is sloppy programming :-)

I guess those are my main reasons.

And Winamp 5 opens FLAC without any registry fixes. Just checked.
