When I record my guitar, I get a weird reverb effect- Anyone know what's going on?

Possibly corrupted sound card drivers. Download and install the latest drivers from the manufacturer's website.

check to see if the mute is on in your volume settings. It should be. If it is not then your guitar may play through your speakers and record twice...once from the guitar and once from the speakers.
