Subject:I've decided I love this product!

But I have a couple of suggestions.

I've spent the last three days extracting harmonics to layers and killing off noise with perfect results. For some reason I haven't found the interface to SpectraLayers all that intuitive, but I am now succeeding with it.

But unless I've missed it somewhere, there doesn't seem to be a way to set preferences. It would help me so much to be able to have certain settings default to my choices and this could easily be done with a preferences dialog box. Or, some of the values settings could simply be retained from session to session and that would help.

More time consuming, however, are the issues with rendered files. Here's a list of things that have gotten in my way. It's really pretty simple:

1. SpectraLayers adds several seconds of silence to the end of every rendered file. I can understand if there's some reason the workspace needs this dead air, but output files? That's a lot of useless bit baggage.

2. It would be immensely helpful if there were checkboxes (that retain preferences) in the render dialog to set properties of the output file. For example, a box to save the render at the same bit depth and sample rate as the source file would be so fantastic! And another box to choose whether metadata, loop info and markers in the source file should be maintained in the rendered file - why, that could save the world!

Finally, the wave format for rendered files is uncommon. Some software won't open it.

This software is brilliant in concept but desperately needs some user-oriented tweaks to make it more friendly and quicker to use. Just my 2 cents.
