Subject:Macros? Why not?

I searched for this, but couldn't find an answer. Is it was possible to make macros of user effects?

One of the best examples of why I need this is whatI do when there is clicking or poping at the edges of a selected sound. I will run a graphic fade, and make a sharp slope on each side. Now I already have a preset made with the slope setup, but every time I want to do this it takes at least 5 clicks. Since I do this a fair amount, it would be nice if say Ctrl+i could do this. OR the 1-0 keys on the key board. The features mapped to the ctrl+1-0 keys right now seem to have no use to me. Maybe a toggle to switch for users that this has some use to.

All I really need a yes no answer, if the answer is no I will start to email Sonic Foundry right away! ;-) If its yes I guess I will check my eyes and search more in SF!

Thanks for any responses.

(This is just a rant to vent)
As far as I know, cool edit has macros. I think sound forge's interface is a lot more inviting, but come on.... I thought SF was supposed to be top of the line! I don't understand why this isn't a standard feature. I am a bit annoyed by this. I think its sad that cool edit beats sound forge on some levels, it has scripts and batch proccessing built in.
You don't have to use a seperate program, and while I don't think the effects sound as good, there are some interesting ones at least.

I sorta have the feeling that Sonic Foundry is much more interested in Vegas than anything else.... This is sorta too bad becasue I have a feeling some one soon will make a program that has the same feel as Sound Forge, but all the extra features that other programs have had for so long. In my opinion Sf is the best interface around. I wish I didn't like it so much so that I could switch over. Wavelab's and cool edit's interfaces just don't feel nearly as gracefull setups in my opinion.....
